Counselling & Mental Well-Being Centre
Supporting the holistic development of every learner — because mental health matters
At JPGS, we believe education extends far beyond academics. Our Counselling & Well-Being Centre is devoted to nurturing the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of every student. We strive to create a safe, caring, and supportive space where young minds feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow.
Our goal is to support the holistic development of each child, helping them become confident, resilient, and compassionate individuals who are ready to navigate life with strength and self-awareness.
Our Vision & Purpose
Our vision is to promote emotional well-being and mental health awareness while supporting the balanced development of mind, body, and spirit. We aim to nurture self-awareness and emotional intelligence in every learner, offering timely guidance and preventive support whenever needed. Through our work, we strive to foster an inclusive and compassionate school community where every child feels valued, understood, and supported.

We provide support for a wide range of academic, emotional, social, and developmental needs, including:

Confidentiality & Trust
Trust forms the foundation of our counselling services. Sessions remain confidential, and information is shared with parents or school staff only when it is important for the student’s safety and well-being. This is done with the student’s knowledge and involvement.
Workshops & Preventive Programmes
Engaging workshops are conducted for students and teachers on life skills, emotional literacy, exam stress management, and inclusion. These programmes strengthen resilience, empathy, and emotional awareness, helping build a supportive and understanding school community.
JPGS, in collaboration with CBSE, contributed to the development of the Mental Health and Well-Being Manual and the CBSE Hub and Spoke Model.
